Teresa ""Terri"" A Melanson, age 75, died on July 12, 2018 in Denver, CO.
Terri is survived by her husband of 51 years Wilfred ""Bill"" Melanson; daughter Claudine (Joe) Locascio of Denver, CO; son Brian (Madonna) Melanson of Hamilton, NJ; and brother Sebastian LaRocca of Wilmington, DE; grandsons Nicholas and William Locascio of Denver, CO; granddaughters Abigail and Vanessa of Hamilton, NJ. In addition, she is predeceased by her brother, John LaRocca of Washington Township, NJ and her parents Rose and Peter LaRocca of Bronx, NY. She was known as ""Aunt Terri"" to 14 nieces and nephews.
Terri was born November 2, 1942 in Bronx, NY and attended Mount St. Vincent College in the Bronx. Terri and Bill lived in Washington Township, NJ for more than 30 years before moving to Jupiter, FL where they enjoyed retirement for 15 years. They relocated permanently to Denver, CO in 2017.
Terri and Bill were married on April 15, 1967 and were able to celebrate their 51st wedding anniversary earlier this year. Terri is fondly remembered by so many for her love of fine things, her great fashion, her sense of humor, her love of family, her beautiful handwriting, eating at great restaurants, traveling the world, and the great pride she had in her four grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 20th, 10am at Risen Christ Catholic Parish, 3060 South Monaco Parkway, Denver, CO 80222.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Risen Christ Catholic Church in Denver, CO to support community outreach.
