Teresa Yarbrough Orton

Teresa, 58 of Littleton, Colorado passed away on July 31, 2012. Teresa has gone to join the Lord and her beloved daughter Chelsea Orton. Teresa lived her life to the very fullest. She was always full of energy and compassion for others. Teresa was born October 17th, 1953 in Ogden, Utah to Ted and Vonda Yarbrough. She was given her best friend three years later when her sister, Jennifer, was born. Teresa attended Highland High School in Idaho. Even at that young age she began her dance career. In addition, she was on the flag team, the cheerleading squad and in the marching band as a star baton twirler. She also continued her own dancing education – all while maintaining excellent grades. After high school, she was awarded a scholarship to Weber State University to perform with the marching band as a baton twirler. While attending Weber State University, Teresa met the love of her life, Paul Orton. They married in 1974. Teresa spent the next nine years teaching dance and yoga to support her family, as her husband completed his medical training as a dermatologist. She continued to teach dance and work as a personal trainer in Colorado. She eventually started her own studio – Dance Connection Studio. Teresa loved all forms of art, but especially enjoyed the thrill of performing. She even taught social dance with her husband. Teresa is the loving wife of Paul W Orton; the devoted mother of Shaun Orton, Shayla (Garret) Francis, Ryan (Julie) Orton, Chelsea Orton, Elyse Orton; and grandmother of Annabelle and Jacqueline Francis. She was looking forward to the birth of her third grandchild this coming October to Ryan and Julie Orton. She is the beloved daughter of Ted and Vonda Yarbrough of Ogden, Utah, and loving sister of Jennifer Williams. She is preceded in death by her daughter Chelsea Orton and mother Vonda Yarbrough. A Visitation will be held Friday, August 3, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road (one block west of South Holly Street), in Centennial, Colorado. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 3:00 P.M., at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road, in Centennial, Colorado.
