Teresa M. Salazar, 80, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away on September 30, 2020 after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
Teresa was born on October 19, 1939 to Paul and Mary Apodaca in Aguilar, Colorado. She graduated from Manual High School, Denver, Colorado in 1957.
She married her high school sweetheart Robert Salazar in 1959. Bob's work took them to Lincoln, Nebraska and they soon started their family. They moved back to Denver in 1962. They had 3 children, Joy, Chris and Dennis.
Teresa was a Secretary for Aurora Public Schools for 25 years. After retirement Teresa and Bob spent the next 20 years as snowbirds between their homes in Grand Lake, Colorado and Bullhead City, Arizona. They moved back to Aurora permanently 4 years ago. Teresa loved to read, listen to music, sing, shop and gamble, but her favorite activity was spending time with friends and family.
Teresa is preceded in death by her parents and her son Dennis. She is survived by her husband Bob, daughter Joy Salazar, son Chris (Lori) Salazar, grandchildren Christopher, Crystal, Matthew, Garrett, Amanda, and Terra and 15 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Mickey (Val), Bea (Dick) and Paul (Priscilla), many nieces, nephews and friends.
Teresa was a positive and happy-go-lucky person. She was a beautiful wife, extraordinary mother, loving grandmother, sweet great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She lived a beautiful life full of fun and laughter and will forever be missed.
