Teri Lynn Salzer

March 9, 1962 — August 29, 2015

Teri was born to Wilva Borders, and Ronald Borders in Hollywood, California, in 1962. Their Mother Wilva, brought Teri and her twin Sheri to the beautiful State of Colorado in 1965. Teri and her twin were adopted by their Father Charles McKenzie when they were 8 years young. They grew up with their childhood friends, Lorie, Sue, Dorothy, John, David, Mark, Rob and Bill in Southeast Denver. They spent a lot of Summer Days at Celebrity Sports Center. And at their Aunt and Uncles home ""The Cherrys."" Making fun with their cousins, Susan and Curtis. Teri Graduated from George Washington High School in 1980. Teri was a free spirit and lived her life by the words, ""Life is too short, dream big and believe."" She was married to childhood sweetheart, John Gilmore in 1980. She spent a lot of time with her nephews Myles and Sean. She was a great Aunt. Teri worked most of her adult life for the Law Firm, ""Gibson, Dunn and Crutcher"" in Downtown Denver. Teri married the ""Love of her Life"" Pat Salzer, May 4, 2014. They loved the outdoors. Summers were spent camping and boating. Winters were spent snowmobiling. She was a GREAT Wife, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Niece, everyone's friend. She made all of our lives such a joyous place. She will be missed! Teri was called home on the afternoon of August 29th, 2015. She leaves to cherish her memory her Husband Pat Salzer, Her Aunt, Irene Cherry, and Uncle Harold Cherry, her twin sister Sheri Wates, and her husband Greg Wates. Her Sister-in Laws, Pauline Salzer, Mary Diller, Cindy Howlett, Brother in Laws, Tony Salzer, Jerry Salzer, Mike Salzer and James Salzer. Her nephews, Myles Washington, Sean Gilmore, Jevon Wates, Jermaine Wates and Jyrome Wates. Her Daughter-in-law Amanda Thomas, and her husband Patrick Thomas and their children Hunter Thomas and Chloe Thomas. A host of other nieces and nephews. Her twin cousins Sharon and Karen and a host of many other cousins. A Memorial Service for Teri will be held Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 10:30am at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road, Centennial, CO. A reception will follow the service.
