Terrence 'Terry' Patrick Moran, 67, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away March 4, after a lengthy battle with colon cancer. He was born December 17, 1939 in Leominster, Massachusetts. Terry married Rosemaree C. Bockes on October 31, 1964 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Denver, Colorado. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in Korea and at Lowry Air Force Base. After leaving the service Terry began a long career in the brokerage business with Boettcher & Company and LaVan and Company. In January 1973, Terry opened Columbine Securities, which was the first discount brokerage firm in Colorado. He served as President of Columbine Securities Inc., President of the Colorado Association of Security Dealers, and the Denver Security Traders Association. He was also an arbitrator for the National Association of Security Dealers. Following the sale of Columbine Securities, Terry worked extensively in the insurance industry. He also served on several civic committees in Denver and Aurora, and was an active member in his community, as well as St. James Catholic Church and School. Terry was a loving husband, wonderful father, generous grandfather, best friend and a true mentor to many. His sense of humor and full-of-life nature won him many friends. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends & colleagues. Terry is survived by his wife, Rosemaree, sons Kevin T. (June Marie) of Virginia Beach, VA, and Brian J. (Sue-Anne) of Agate, CO, daughters, Lisa M. Orzolek (Robert) of Denver, CO, and Amy F. Moran-Muchmore (Royce), of Westminster, CO. He is also survived by his brothers John and James Moran; sisters, Natalie Johnson, Lois Gradito and Mary Dandley. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren: Tyler Moran, Hattie and Louis Orzolek, and Margaret and William Moran, along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Frances Moran of Leominster, MA, and his sister Pauline Kimball of Athol, MA, his brother-in-laws Noel Dandley, Levi Gradito, Peter Kimball, and Ray Johnson; niece Johanna Moran, and great niece Victoria Gradito. A Memorial Celebration will be held at Horan & McConaty Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. with a reception following. The Funeral Service will be at 4pm on Thursday March 8, 2007 at Saint James Catholic Church, 1300 Oneida Street, Denver, CO. A private family burial will be held at Ft. Logan Cemetery.
