Terry Wasley, 82, of Lakewood, Colorado passed into Heaven on March 28, 2023. He was born February 26, 1941 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, to Olga and Nestor Wasley.
Terry was a beloved husband, father, and friend. He was the most kind, gentle, and generous man. Terry had a great sense of humor- having nicknames for all, and the very best smile.
He is survived by his loving wife, Edith of 57 years; son, Michael; daughter, Jennifer; sister, Gloria; and many close friends.
Terry grew up in Canada and loved playing baseball and hockey. He was a true, great athlete, and later enjoyed coaching hockey.
He met the love of his life, Edith on a blind date. They married after a year and a half. They stayed in Canada for the next 8 years where their children were born. Work brought our family to beautiful Colorado in 1973. It was here we stayed and built a wonderful life together.
Terry built his own successful insurance business after being with Great West Life for many years. He enjoyed taking trips, golfing, watching old TV shows, and most of all; sitting on his patio with his buddies, drinking red wine, an occasional cigar, and watching sports on TV. He never had a bad day and always had a smile on his face!
Terry was truly a special man whose impact will be forever felt by his family and friends, that love him dearly, and will miss him always. He was a selfless man whose passing has left an unfillable gap in the hearts of his loved ones. Terry's ability to sacrifice, provide, support, and love will be forever engrained in all he knew.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 5:00 pm on April 15th at Pinehurst Country Club, 6255 W Quincy Ave, Denver. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Pinehurst Foundation; an organization of which Terry was the founder.
