Thelma Lucille Kline

Thelma Lucille Kline passed away May 4, 2017 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Boulder, Colorado from complications of Congestive Heart Failure. She was born in Putnam County, Missouri on September 1st 1924 in the same house as her father. The house was built by her great grandfather, a German immigrant. She grew up in Iowa and married her high school sweetheart, Robert Kline, in Waterloo, Iowa on May 7, 1944. She worked in Civil Service during World War II at the Army Quartermaster Base in Seattle, Washington and at the Shick Army Hospital in Clinton, Iowa. From there, later in the Library at Iowa State University. She enjoyed an active lifestyle. After raising her two daughters she attended Colorado State University, and obtained her LPN nurse licensure. She was also a past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star, 4-H club leader, and Garden Club chartered member as well as serving on the Town Council in Melbourne, Iowa where her husband was engaged in the practice of veterinary medicine, prior to their move to Colorado. She also enjoyed cooking and sewing, history, traveling, her beloved canines, he outdoors, and wildlife. Lucille leaves behind a close-knit, loving family of Dr. Robert Kline, Veterinarian, Two daughters Dr. Lucia Miller of Denver, CO Bobette Holliday of Hot Springs Village, AK Two grandchildren John Holliday and his wife Kelly of Berthoud, CO Sarah Miller of Denver, CO A brother, Harold Arnaman and his wife Betty of Fort Madison, Iowa and sister Juanita Morkle of Waterloo, Iowa and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her parents, Pearl & Blanche Arnaman and three sisters, Dorothy Anderson, Melba O'Neil, and Phyllis Fernau preceded her in death. At her request, no formal service is to be held. There will be a private family Interment of her ashes at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado after the passing of her husband. If desired, memorial contributions in her honor can be directed to Tru Hospice, 2594 Trailridge Drive East, Lafayette, Colorado 80026.
