Ted, 87, of Lakewood passed away on March 11, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 18, 1931 in Nevada, Missouri, to Theodore and Cypha (Dumbauld) Breed. Ted married Jane E. Bentley in 1952. They raised a family and shared life together in Denver, as well as Tucson, AZ during the winters of 2000 through 2016.
Ted attended East High School in Wichita, KS and graduated from Denver University. Ted worked as a salesman of building products to home builders. He enjoyed traveling, 4-wheeling in the Colorado Rockies, meeting with friends and family for coffee and a good joke or two, as well as wood carving and turning wood bowls.
In addition to his wife, Jane, Ted is survived by his sister Betty Breed-Dunn of Minnesota; his sons Tom Breed and his wife Lisa of Durango, and Richard Breed and his wife Sandra of Lakewood; and his daughter Kristine (Savig) and her husband Stephen of Fort Collins. Ted also was blessed with six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 10:30 am at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 2300 S. Patton Court, Denver, CO 80219. A private interment will take place at Fort Logan cemetery prior to the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Ted's name to the Parkinson Association of the Rockies (www.ParkinsonRockies.org) or Christ the King Lutheran Church, 2300 S. Patton Ct. Denver, CO 80219.
