Theodore Paul Christensen, 81, passed away March 25, 2011, in Aurora, Colorado. He was born April 15, 1929 in Baker, Oregon to Theodore A. and Reba Cox Christensen.
Ted lived in Ogden, Utah until at the age of 12, his family moved to Salt Lake City. He married Carol Madsen in December of 1948. He attended the University of Utah and graduated as a Registered Pharmacist. In 1954, after graduating from the University, Ted, Carol and their four children moved to Denver, Colorado. Ted worked as a pharmacist until the age of 72.
Ted was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in many capacities, including as an ordinance worker for many years in the Denver, Colorado Temple. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather and was loved for his special wit and sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Madsen Christensen; their children, Michael (wife Dianne) Christensen, Becky (Andy) Farago, Eric (Debi) Christensen, and Carolyn (Ron) Thompson; Ten grandchildren, 14 1/2 great-grandchildren, and 1 1/2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Christensen.
A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, 11:00am, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 740 Hudson Street, Denver, CO 80220. A viewing will be held at the Church, prior to the service from 10:00-10:45am. Burial, Fairmount Cemetery.
