Theodore Maxon Ryan

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Theodore ""Ted"" Maxon Ryan on November 22, 2013 at 12:20am in Aurora, surrounded by family. He was 80 years-old. He was a beloved brother to Sally (Ed), Sue (Phil), Nancy (Jerry), and Tom. He was an endeared husband to Marilyn, father to Steve (Katie), Linda, Cheryl (Lance), and Tom, grandfather to Jason, Nicole (Jeff), Ryan (Abby), Kristy, Steven (Tiffany), Andrew (Alison), Tony, Nick (Dawn), Tommy, Dawson, and Levi, and great-grandpa to Brandon, Torren, Lily, Kaia, Braiden, Avery, and Alex. Out of high school, Ted enlisted in the Navy and served four years active duty and two in the reserves. During his time in the Navy he met Marilyn and they married, November 19, 1955. After the Navy they settled down in Cheektowaga, NY where they raised their family. It was there that Ted started his 43 year career with United Airlines and transferred out to Denver in 1978 where he continued. When Ted retired he spent time with his family and working on his backyard. For those who have seen it, it is a beautiful force to be reckoned with. When he wasn't working on the backyard he traveled with his wife and siblings to high school reunions and spent time in various states attending family reunions. There will be a viewing for family and friends on Friday, November 29, 2013 from 5-8pm at Horan & McConaty 11150 East Dartmouth Avenue, Aurora, CO 80014. A funeral Mass is scheduled for November 30, 2013 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Parish 19099 East Floyd Avenue, Aurora, CO 80013 a 9:30am. Burial will be at Ft. Logan National Cemetery at a later date.
