Terrie was born on March 6, 1940 to Edward and Carolyn Sherwood in Cody, Wyoming, and was raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Thomas A. Pawlish, five children, Marie Lynch, Michael Pawlish (Judy), Joanne Guriel (Terry), Renée Pawlish, and Steven Pawlish (Michelle), eleven grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Sherwood. She graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Cheyenne, and attended St. Mary College in Leavenworth, Kansas. She left college and moved back to Cheyenne, where she met and married her husband. She and her husband lived in Cheyenne, New Mexico, California, Florida, and Colorado. Terrie was a talented pianist and organist. She served as the organist at the chapel at Warren E. Air Force Base in Cheyenne, directed the children’s choir at St. Jude Catholic Church in Lakewood, Colorado, and also taught piano to children. Terrie was heavily involved in crafts and craft fairs, which led to the start of her business, The Gingerbear House, where she created and sold gourmet soups, jams, and jellies. The business started in her house and grew large enough that she expanded into an old schoolhouse she purchased and renovated. She also loved to interact with her customers in Teddy’s Tea Room, named after one of her beloved schnauzers. After selling her business, she and her husband traveled extensively, she took up quilting, and they lived part-time in Maui. She was very active in a quilter’s guild in Maui where they made charity quilts.
