Thomas Sprott Cousins of Broomfield, Colorado. Beloved husband of Diane. Devoted father of Leigh and Thomas. Also survived by his sisters Margaret (Gordon) Austin and Sue (Dino) Greco, and his brother John (Kris) Cousins. Also survived by cherished nieces, nephews, family members, and many treasured friends. Tom grew up in Hinsdale, Illinois and graduated from Southern Illinois University. He began his career in municipal bonds at William Blair & Co. in Chicago. Moved to Denver in 1973 and joined First National Bank of Denver, Tom then joined Boettcher & Co in 1977 and became a General Partner. He joined Piper Jaffray & Co. in 1990 and retired in 1999. He enjoyed memberships at Denver Country Club, The University Club, Union League Club of Chicago, and Mile High Duck Club. Tom was active in supporting religious and charitable organizations throughout the community. Vigil Service, sharing of memories, and toasting will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 beginning at 7:00 P.M. at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 West 80th Avenue, Arvada. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 1900 California Street, Denver. A reception will follow the Mass at The University Club, 1673 Sherman Street. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
