Thomas Distel

Thomas Rex Distel passed away on November 16, 2020 at Life Care Center of Longmont.

Thomas was born to Frank and Melba Distel on January 14, 1946 in Denver, Colorado. Tom grew up on the family farm and graduated from Longmont High School in 1965. He was a dairy farmer for over 30 years and after selling his dairy cows, raised some beef cattle.

Tom loved animals, and would feed birds, stray cats and any animals looking for food.

He is survived by his six brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held for Tom on Tuesday, December 1st from 11:00 - 12:00 in the Horan and McConaty S. Wadsworth Family Chapel, followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00 PM. Tom will then be laid to rest at Mount Olivet Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
