Thomas ""Tom"" Goode

Tom passed in peace on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 after a nearly three year battle with cancer. His final days were spent surrounded by his family.

Tom was born and raised in Long Island, NY. He graduated from Tufts University in 1968 and met his wife Joan on a skiing trip in Colorado in 1969. They married in 1971. He served in the Navy for 23 years as a Commander. While serving, he earned master’s degrees from both the Naval War College in Newport, RI and the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, CA.

Over his 23 year service, Tom and his wife lived in Hanford, CA; Virginia Beach, VA; San Diego, CA; Monterey, CA; Falls Church, CA; Newport, RI; and Coronado, CA.

After retiring from the Navy, Tom and his family moved to Denver where he worked as a DPS teacher for 16 years.

He was a long time fan of the New York Knicks and the Giants. He loved playing Bridge, dancing, reading and spending time with family.

He is survived by his brother, Ken; wife, Joan; daughter, Catherine; son in law, Adam; and daughter, Sarah.

He was too well loved to ever be forgotten.
