Thomas Hession

September 11, 1943 — May 6, 2011

Thomas Geoffrey Hession entered into eternal life May 6, 2011 at University Hospital in Denver, due to smoke inhalation following a fire at his home. He was born to John Joseph Hession and Sarah Angela McGonagle-Hession, on September 11, 1943 at Mercy Hospital in Denver. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother John Richard Hession. He is survived by his sister Ann Maureen Hession of Aurora, Colorado, and his children Brian Hession (Pamala) of Thornton, Colorado, Patrick Hession of Aurora, Colorado, and Melissa Larreau of Anchorage, Alaska. He is also survived by his grandchildren Joel Hession of Aurora, Colorado, Alex Hession of Thornton, Colorado, Drew Hession of Thornton, Colorado, Kia Guerreo of Topeka, Kansas, Jasmine Reed of Anchorage, Alaska, and Jaelynn Newkirk of Anchorage, Alaska; two great-grandchildren; and three nephews. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Frenchie. Thomas went to St. Francis De Sales Grade School and High School, graduating in 1962. He retired from Super Value and was a devoted Teamster for more than 30 years. He was also a loyal member of the NRA, the Colorado Continental Convertible Club, and was very proud of his Irish Catholic heritage. He loved country western music, with Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard being his favorite artists. Thomas is to be laid to rest at Mt. Olivet cemetery following a private service. He was taken from us way too soon, and he will be missed by those who loved him. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to the Adams County Animal Shelter, 10705 Fulton Street, Brighton, Colorado 80601, in his name.
