Thomas C. Hopkins age 75 died on February 10, 2015 of natural causes. Born December 27, 1939 in Mineola, NY he was raised in Bellerose, NY, and graduated from Sewanhaka High School. After graduating from high school he served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Intrepid. In 1970 he moved his family to Colorado, living in Littleton and Centennial and earning his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Colorado in 1973. Tom enjoyed communications equipment and spent his career working for the Bell System: New York Telephone in the 1960s, Mountain Bell from 1970 â 1982, and with AT&T until his retirement in 2000. Survivors include his wife Barbara; children Mike, Erin and Chrystie; step-daughter Heidi; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Dorothy and his brother Jim. Tom was a devoted member of St. Thomas More Parish since it's founding in 1971. He was a kind, caring and loving parent and husband who enjoyed traveling, spending time in the outdoors, watching the Denver Broncos and playing with his beloved dog Romeo. A memorial service and reception will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday April 11, 2015 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 8035 South Quebec Street, Centennial, CO 80112.
