Thomas ""Tom"" F. Kershisnik was born on 3-18-52 in Rock Springs, WY and passed away at his Littleton, CO home on 9-23-13 after a lengthy illness. He was the son of Mary Lou and Frank T. Kershisnik. Tom was raised in Rock Springs and graduated from Rock Springs High School in 1970. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting from the University of Wyoming in 1976. He became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 1978. Upon graduating from the University of Wyoming he accepted a position as a CPA at Price Waterhouse Accounting firm in Denver, CO. He also held positions with Leprino Foods, the City of Englewood and Avaya. He went on to earn his MBA from the University of Colorado in 1995. In addition to Tom's successful career path, he was a devoted son, husband, brother, father and grandfather. He was married to Colleen Smith Kershisnik and was the proud father of Jory, Jill, and Kelly Kershisnik and a loving grandfather of Bela Kershisnik. He is survived by his mother, Mary Lou Kershisnik (Littleton, CO) and siblings Lynne (Kershisnik) Howell (Fort Collins, CO), Mark Kershisnik, Sr. (Susan) (Indianapolis, IN), and Kevin (Rory Sheehan) Kershisnik (Long Beach, CA). His nieces and nephews include Leah (Ricky Silva) Howell (Eugene, OR), Brennan Howell (Fort Collins, CO), Alec Kershisnik (Sacramento, CA), Mark Kershisnik, Jr. (Austin, TX) and Anna Kershisnik (Indianapolis, IN). He is also survived by one uncle, several aunts and numerous cousins. Tom had a wealth of wonderful friends across the Denver area who supported him and were with him every step of the way. The story of Tom's life would not be complete without mentioning his love of the game of golf! He spent many years perfecting his game and enjoyed playing on a regular basis. In the end his regular poker games with his buddies completed his life. Tom felt that he had to give everyday his best (""GUTS BALL"") because he owed it to his family and friends. This attitude gave him the courage and strength to fight his many battles with his illnesses. He will always be remembered by his family and friends for his incredible outlook and drive. He was truly an inspiration to all who knew and loved him. Please share your memories of Thomas and condolences with his family by signing the guest book below.
