Tom passed away on February 24, 2009, after a short illness. Public Vistation, Monday, 3/2, 3:00-7:00 p.m., Horan & McConaty, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd. Services, Tuesday, 3/3, 10:30 a.m., also at Horan & McConaty, with viewing one hour prior. Burial following at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. "" ~Kahlil Gibran Tom passed away on February 24, 2009 at the young age of 62 in Denver after a short illness. Tom is survived by his wife of 37 years, Beverly Martinez, beloved daughter Erika Martinez, his mother Mary M. Martinez, Sister Elizabeth (Toy) Rodriquez and Brother Robert (Butch) Martinez as well as numerous loved Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and their children. Tom is deeply missed by Grand-dog, Sasha a Siberian husky. Tom was predeceased by brothers and sisters Daniel D. (Sonny) Martinez, Phyllis D. Hamilton, Miguel K. (Mickey) Martinez, and Chris Trujillo and his father Daniel Eli Martinez Tom was born September 30, 1946 in Walsenburg, Colorado to Daniel Eli Martinez and Mary Moreno Martinez. A 1965 graduate of West High School in Denver, he attended Northwestern Junior College and University of Northern of Colorado before becoming US Army active duty November 3, 1967 to June 6, 1969 serving in Korea. He married his wife, Beverly, on December 18, 1971 in Denver. Tom was employed by Addressograph Multigraph, Buckeye Business Products, & Data Specialties before owning his own company Martinez Data Products, Inc., Martinez Ink Company, LLC and Martinez Graphic Products, Inc. o Hispanic Chamber of Commerce 1990 Man of the Year for Outstanding Achievement and Contributions to the Business Community o Prominent member Rocky Mountain Minority Supplier Development Council, (formerly Minority Enterprise Inc.), and Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Tom has received an abundance of corporation awards as a supplier and manufacturer. o Co-founder Golf For A Future, charitable organization providing scholarships to graduates of his alma mater West High School. Public viewing will be on Monday, March 2, from 3:00-7:00 pm at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home located at 3101 So Wadsworth Blvd. Lakewood. Services will be held at Horan & McConaty on Tuesday, March 3, at 10:30 AM with viewing one hour prior to the services. Deacon Sam Lopez officiant; pallbearers: Friz Kent, Bill Ponikvar, Don Bruning, Lorenzo Gonzalez, Rick Schrah, Mike Torrez, Mike Patterson Burial will follow the services at Ft.
