Thomas ""Tom"" Edward Zimmerman passed away September 7, 2016. He was born January 7, 1947, in Jacksonville, Florida, and is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Lucy Zimmerman. Tom is survived by his wife, Marie Ciufo Zimmerman, of Centennial; children Jennifer Zimmerman Chamberlain (Dean) of Cary, NC and T. Ed Zimmerman, Jr of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren Caitlin and Olivia Chamberlain; and brother Richard Zimmerman (Joan) of Jacksonville, FL. Tom grew up in Florida, quickly becoming an amazing chef, avid hunter & fisherman. In the late 70s, Tom moved to Colorado. As a successful salesman, Tom assured every customer had just the right office space with his ever-present smile. Tom and Marie were married in 1984, and enjoyed their life together cheering on the Broncos at Mile High, cooking his famous pulled pork and gumbo, and spending time with their loving dogs. Tom's love of the outdoors was most apparent through his garden ""in the south 40"" and his love of hunting with his friends. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 11am. The memorial service will be held at 1pm, followed by a celebration of Tom's life. The service and celebration of life, along with all arrangements, are being handled by the caring professionals at Horan & McConaty Funeral Service, 5303 E. County Line Rd., Centennial, CO 80122.
