Timothy Patrick Quinn

June 9, 1934 — May 12, 2010

Timothy Patrick Quinn of Denver, Colorado died on May 12th in Port Charlotte, Florida after a short illness. He was retired after careers as a manager at Lockeed Martin, and proprietor of Bingo City bingo hall. Tim was a loving and generous man, who would reach out to those in need and would open his heart to the people who came into his life. With his wife Leona alongside, his life's journey followed the path of great faith in God. This was always exemplified through his actions in his daily life. Tim grew up in Denver and went to Saint Joseph's High School. He joined the Navy upon graduation in 1952 during the Korean conflict and was honorably discharged in 1956 with the rank of Chief Petty Officer. In 1953 he married the love-of-his-life Leona Haberkorn. They were married for 57 years. He spent 32 years at what is now Lockeed Martin where he managed test facilities. He joined his brother's John and Robert in business at Bingo City where he eventually partnered with his daughter Anna. He was active in many communities including Notre Dame Catholic Church, Catholic Youth Recreation Association, the Knights of Columbus, and the Vietnamese community of southwest Denver. He is survived by his wife Leona Quinn and his four children Anna (Sam) Neumeyer, Barbara (Dave) Oakley, Susan (Greg) Griffin, and Timothy (Patricia) Quinn; twelve grandchildren Nickie and Sam Neumeyer; David, Andrew, Maddie, and Clara Oakley, Becca and John Griffin, Mary Kate, Joe, Nellie, and Jack Quinn; and three sisters Loretta Wise, Kathryn Dufficy, Corinne (Mike) McLellan and sister-in-law Rose Quinn; and numerous nieces and nephews. All will sorely miss him. Rosary Saturday, May 22, 2010 7:00PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel located at 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard. Funeral Mass Monday, May 24, 2010 10:00AM at Notre Dame Catholic Church located at 2190 South Sheridan Boulevard. Interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
