Timothy Andrew Sather

Timothy Sather, age 66, passed away on January 5, 2025 at his home due to an unexpected heart attack.

Tim grew up in Lake in the Hills, IL and Crystal Lake, IL with his older brother Bill, older sister Jeanne and younger sister Donna. Tim attended St. Thomas the Apostle elementary school and graduated from Crystal Lake Central High School in 1976. Tim played baseball, tennis and wrestled through his high school years and won numerous awards.

After high school, Tim enlisted in the United States Coast Guard where he was stationed in both California and Illinois. He was honorably discharged and received numerous accreditations. His love of water, boats and safety stayed with him his entire life.

Tim subsequently enrolled at Illinois State University where he received degrees in both Occupational Safety and Industrial Technology.

After graduation and through his passing, Tim was employed within the insurance industry primarily as a field representative and safety inspector in California, Illinois and Colorado. Tim was an avid squash player and loved watching most sports.

Tim is survived by his brother Bill Sather, sister Donna Sather (Erasmo Llanquiman), nephew Daniel Llanquiman, niece Sara Lennon (Kyle Lennon), his grand-nephews Jackson and Jase Lennon, and eight cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Jeanne Sather.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO at 11:30 AM on January 15, 2025. Feel free to come and pay your respects to Tim.
