Tina Johnson

Tina Marie Johnson, 60, passed away from terminal cancer on August 30th, 2020.  She is survived by her son, Tom Johnson with wife Renee Stone and two grandchildren, Cameron and Delaney Johnson, of Larkspur, CO, daughter Tiffany Johnson and husband Jacob Stewart of Thornton, CO, her parents Julian and Jesse Martinez, sister Kella Carter, brother Leroy Martinez and sister-in-law Darla Martinez, all of Albuquerque, NM.  Her loss is felt so deeply by family, friends, and neighbors.

Tina was a very thoughtful, compassionate person.  She loved her family, with her whole heart.  Everything she did was for them.  She was beyond one of the most generous souls that we have ever known.  She was kind, loving and extremely thoughtful in everything that she did.  She had a way of making us all feel like family and taught us to be loving always and to take care of one another.  She had a way of bringing light, warmth and cracked hilarious jokes that would often catch us off guard.

Some of Tina’s favorite things were trips to Hawaii, collecting Swarovski crystals, watching her grandchildren, connecting with friends, taking care of the home, and shopping – if she liked it, she bought it – and she had amazing taste.  But her all-time favorite thing to do was take care of, and spend time with, her family.

Her heart was full, and it overflowed onto all who knew her.  She was a fighter and a warrior, even her final moments.  To miss someone so much means they were extremely special, and we were blessed to have her in our lives.  She is in our hearts forever and will always be missed. We know she's at peace now, and happy to be reunited with our dad.  We know he is happy to have her back.  It hurts to be apart, but we will see her again. We are comforted to know she is in Heaven, sharing her gifts and smiling down on all of us.

Mass will be held on Friday, September 18, 2020, 11am at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2746 Fifth St, Castle Rock, CO 80104.
