Todd Jones

Todd Lee Jones passed away peacefully in his sleep the morning of Wednesday, September 8, 2021, with his son Andrew by his side after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Todd will be forever remembered by his son, Andrew Scott Jones, daughter Sydney Grace Rutherford (Sharie Rutherford), and significant other Michelle Ciaccio. Survivors include brother, Scott Allen Jones (Sharon Jones); sister, Gyda Vern (Jones) Torbet (Dan Torbet); uncle Allen Jones; nieces Casey Elizabeth Torbet and Jamie Amanda Torbet; nephews Nicholas Jones and Tyler Jones and former spouse Kristin Scott.   Todd was preceded in death by father Vernon Arthur Jones and mother Betty Jean Futch Jones.

Todd was born October 13, 1960, in Denver, CO. Todd grew up in Colorado until he joined the Coast Guard in 1981, where he served as the honor guard stationed in Ketchikan, AK, and Topeka, KS until 1986, when he returned to Colorado. Todd spent 35+ years as an Executive Sales professional in the communications, banking, and security fields, doing what he did best creating connections and developing meaningful relationships. He loved the art of a sale.

Todd was a proud and dedicated father. His son Andrew was his heart and soul to which he shared his love of sports (especially baseball), outdoors, family, and all of life. Not many conversations occurred where Andrew was not mentioned and how proud he was of his accomplishments. When daughter Sydney entered his life, he immediately emerged into the caring, protective father of a little girl and cherished seeing her grow up. Todd has always been committed and involved in every part of his children's lives, from sharing ice cream to playing catch, coaching, giving advice, and being that constant supporter and protector. For him, family meant everything, and it was always family first.

He will be forever remembered for his caring, beautiful, compassionate heart, his willingness to help whenever or wherever needed at a moments notice, his unlimited love and devotion to family, and his dedication to friends. Celebrate the good memories of Todd and remember that life should be lived to the fullest, make sure to keep things organized and enjoy all the little things life offers.

On Wednesday, September 29, 2021, a memorial service will be held at 9:15 am at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave.; Denver, CO 80236. A celebration of life will be held at Clement Park, Pavilion N, Littleton, CO, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm
