Tom Bousman

BOUSMAN, Harry Thomas ""Tom"", 77, passed away on March 18, 2019 at Avista Adventist Hospital in Louisville, Colorado. The cause of death was respiratory failure resulting from a perforated antral ulcer and incarcerated paraesophageal hiatal hernia. Tom was born on February 11, 1942 in Salida, Colorado.

Tom is survived by his wife of 31 years, Bonnie L. Bousman; his sons Tyler Bousman (Cristine), Zachary Bousman (Carmen), and Joshua Thomas Bousman; his step-daughters Michelle Cordean and Carolyn Cordean; his grandchildren Abigail, Jordan (Holly), Alessandra (Alex Brensing) , Madai, Anthony, Moises, Jolie, Galilea, Veronica Joy, Olivia, Heather (Jordan Carlson), Melissa (Garrett Jacobs), Jennifer, Jaime (Mico Rivera), Gabriel and Scarlett; and his great-grandchildren Aiden, Anberlin, Haiden, Adrienne, Payton, Bailey, Talon, Harper, Jasmine, Janette, Adalberto III, and Damian.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Harry Edward Bousman and Mildred ""Jean"" Renshaw, and his granddaughter Adia and great-grandson Matthew.

Tom lived and worked throughout his life in California, New Mexico, Ohio and primarily Colorado. His careers included working as a traveling shoe salesman, owning a chain of shoe stores, pastoring several Friends Churches, serving as a Hospice and Fireman Chaplain, managing Giant service stations and Seiko jewelry stores, and retiring one year ago from Staples. Tom incorporated his love for Jesus Christ into every job he worked, as ministry was his primary passion.

Tom valued education which lead him to earn several degrees throughout his lifetime, including a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix in 1990, a Master of Divinity from Azusa Pacific University in 1999, and a Doctor of Theology from Biola University/Almeda University in 2005.

Tom's hobbies included playing golf and poker, shooting pool and guns, obtaining his pilot's license and owning his own aircraft, but most importantly he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Tom's Memorial Service will be Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. at Denver Friends Church, 4595 Eliot Street, Denver, CO 80211. Refreshments and time to visit with the family will follow the service.
