Toni Norton, 90 of Wheat Ridge, Colorado passed away of natural causes Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008, at the Denver Hospice Care Center in Aurora, Colorado. Toni was born in 1917 in Gove County, Kansas to George and Catherine Salankey. She married Robert Norton in 1937 in Park, Kansas, and resided in Denver and Wyoming throughout her life. She had one daughter, Roberta, and for many years managed the Conrad's Store in Cheyenne Wyo. In 1988 after the passing of her husband she returned to the Denver area where she had many family members and successfully survived two brain surgery's. She is survived by her brothers George Salankey of Wheat Ridge and Robert Salankey of Arvada; daughter, Roberta Norton Tuttle of Rocklin, California; four grandchildren Kathy Thomas of Kaneohe, Hawaii; Karen Haenke of Oceano, California; John Tuttle of Elk Grove, California; and Joe Tuttle of Castle Rock, Ccolorado; eight great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Toni was preceded in death by her husband Robert Norton, brothers Joe and John Salankey and sisters Mary Salankey and Dorothy Salankey Demmel. Memorial services: 11:00AM on Friday, February 8 at Schrader Funeral Home, 2323 Carey Avenue, Cheyenne, Wyoming with Internment to follow at 1:30PM at Olivet Cemetery.
