Our beloved Tony P. Salazar, age 94, died on January 6, 2024. He was a graduate of Alamosa High School and Adams State College. Mr. Salazar also received his Master’s Degree from University of Northern Colorado. Mr. Salazar served in the United States Army and worked for 40 plus years with Denver Public Schools. He concluded his distinguished career with Denver Public Schools as Principal of Denver West.
Above all, Mr. Salazar was a loving and devoted father to his six children. He is survived by his sons John, Ronnie, Joshua, and daughters Adrianne, Monica, and Heather. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Mr. Salazar enjoyed golf, watching and attending sporting events. Mr. Salazar was an active member of his parish, Church of the Risen Christ including being a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Funeral services will take place at Church of the Risen Christ in Denver on Monday, January 22. The Recitation of the Rosary will take place at 1:30 PM, the Mass at 2:00 PM, and a Reception at 3:00 PM. Committal service with full military honors will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery on January 23 at 10:30 AM.
