Our son Troy Thomas Adkins passed away on Wednesday May 31st, 2023 due to a tragic motorcycle accident. He was born in Denver on November 13, 2001 and is survived by his parents Christopher and Patricia Adkins, his siblings Sean Adkins (Emma Adkins) and Marissa Thomas (Carl Thomas) along with Carl and Marissa’s daughters Amelia and Zariah Thomas. Troy was a loving brother and “Uncle T”, and was loved dearly by his siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins. While his parents, family and friends lost someone far too early; his bright smile, need to make everyone laugh and open heart will be the legacy he leaves behind. He was a beautiful soul, great friend and had a passion for sports. He played varsity baseball and soccer at Overland High School, always in a protective role as catcher or goalie – just like his life was one of protecting and caring for those he loved. This was shown by his being a registered donor that saved the lives of five others. Once completing his college education at UNC his dream was to be a Professional Pilot and travel the world while always returning home to his family and beloved Colorado.
A Celebration Life will be held at Horan & McConaty on Dartmouth/Parker at 1pm Tuesday June 13th. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted by the Troy Adkins Overland Baseball gofund.me to support teens in needs of assistance with fees and equipment.
