Tuyet Bach Davis

September 17, 1929 — June 3, 2006

Our Mom, whose birth name is Vo Thi Bach Tuyet, was born about September 17, 1929, the year of the Snake, in a small village in South Vietnam to her parents Vo Van Vui and Dang Thi Nhan. She was number 9 of 11 children. As a youth, she had to help her family by taking their buffalo to fields to graze, and helping with the vegetable garden so they could go to market and sell their goods to support the family. She is the mother of three sons, Long, Bobby, and Billy, and one daughter, Barbara. She also had two daughters that died in infancy. She is blessed with 13 grandchildren, 2 great-granddaughters and a great-grandson on the way. She met a wonderful American GI, Harry Louis Davis, in 1967 and they married on May 28, 1973 in Saigon. Shortly thereafter, they and the children moved to the United States and settled in Benicia, California. In her lifetime, she has worked as a maid, waitress, and factory worker. Her favorite job though, might have been babysitting her grandchildren. Our Mom was a devout Catholic and attended church everyday at the St. Dominic's parish. On the weekends she would either attend or host rosaries to pray for those that have already passed away, including our Father, Harry, who died on February 19, 2000. Since that time, she has missed him dearly. On June 3, 2006, she went to be with her husband again, and although we are sad, it was a joyous day for her. She is the beloved mother of Long Vo and his wife Huong, Bobby Davis and his wife Suky, Billy Davis and his wife Mary, and Barbara Anderson and her husband Jay. She will also be remembered as a loving grandmother of Dang Vo, Quang Vo, Tran Vo, Lee Davis, Richard Davis, Brandon Lee Davis, Amanda Anderson, Elizabeth Anderson, Faith Anderson, Julia Anderson, Lindsay June Anderson, Luke Anderson, and Wyatt Anderson. She was also a proud great-grandmother of Nhi Vo and Vy Vo.
