Twila Fay Sweeney

Twila Sweeney died peacefully on Monday the 5th of June surrounded by family. She was 84-years-old. Born January 7th in Hays, Kansas. She was the youngest child of twelve of Mary Elizabeth Kiesner and Frank Stanislaus Wasinger. She graduated from Girls Catholic High School in 1951. Twila completed her bachelor's degree in Education from Loretta Heights College in 1955. She met and married her husband Thomas J. Sweeney in Hays, Kansas in 1958. They had three children, Mary Elizabeth Olson, Barbara Green, and Frank Sweeney. Twila and Tom shared a happy and blessed marriage for 54-years. Twila is proceeded in death my 10 siblings, and has one remaining brother living in Hays, Kansas. She is proceeded in death by her husband Thomas, and grandson Mikel T. Olson. She has 5 living grandchildren. Katie Olson, Emily Olson, Cullen Green, Ryan Green, and Evan Green. A rosary will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 7 p.m. at Horan & McConaty in Centennial, CO. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 15th at 12:30 p.m. at Holy Name Catholic Church, 3290 W. Milan Ave., Sheridan, CO 80110.
