Ursula Laas, 46, of Commerce City, Colorado, was called to heaven on February 22, 2017. She was born in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, to Al and Christa Corbin. She was raised in Arvada, Colorado where she graduated from Arvada West High School in 1988. She then pursued a Criminal Justice degree from Metro State and graduated in 1992. She became a dispatcher with Arvada Police Department in 1995 where she met the love of her life, Brian. They married in 1998 and began their love story. She also worked as a Police Service Technician until 2007. She and Brian enjoyed the great outdoors together. She loved hiking, mountain biking, scuba diving and traveling. She especially enjoyed going to Estes Park, where she loved watching the baby elk in the spring. She had a special love for animals, especially their dogs. She had a special bond with each of them. Later, she and her husband moved to Commerce City, where they continued their life together. Ursula continued to be a true friend, and shared her love of life with everyone. Even during her hardships, she maintained her faith and love of Christ. She was a true inspiration to all who knew her. Her courage, strength, and passion for living life was admirable. She was one of a kind and will truly be missed. She is survived by her husband, Brian; parents, Al and Christa Corbin; a sister, Inge Corbin and Inge's husband Larry Mcallister; and two dogs, Beaker and Onyx. A Memorial Ceremony honoring Ursula will be on Monday, February 27, 2017, beginning at 3:00 PM, at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 West 80th Avenue, in Arvada, Colorado 80003.
