Val H. Ness, 59, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Husband of Terri. Father of Matthew (Molly) Ness and Rebecca (Waheed) Choudhry. Grandfather of Ava Marie and Ella Rae Choudhry. Brother of AnnaMarie Robb and Valerie Ness. Also survived by his loving companion, his dog Spike. Funeral Services honoring Val will be held Sunday, July 29, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road (just west of Holly), in Centennial, Colorado. Services will conclude at the chapel. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Val's name to benefit the Mineral & Metallurgical Processing Division (MPD) Scholarship Fund of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy, & Exploration (SME), 8307 Shaffer Parkway, in Littleton, Colorado 80127.
