Val was born on October 10, 1928 to Eugene and Fern Senter in Hutchinson, Kansas. He grew up in Kansas, Texas and Colorado Springs. He graduated from Colorado Springs High School and attended Colorado College and the University of Denver. He was an active member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and continued to be involved throughout his life. He was an athlete and outdoorsman, setting college records in Track and Field, playing hockey for the Denver Centennial Stars well into his seventies, and skiing, hiking, hunting and fishing, which were an essential part of his life. Val built a successful career in commercial real estate, working hard to provide for his family's future and was active in politics as a staunch Republican. He was married for sixty-six years to Elaine, with whom he had four children, ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Please share memories of Val and condolences with his family in the Guestbook.
