Valeria Capps Pinzenscham

January 15, 1930 — August 10, 2011

Valeria Capps-Pinzenscham, 81, of Bennett, Colorado passed away August 10, 2011 in Aurora, Colorado. She was born January 15, 1930 in Denver to Melvin Mitchell and Ida Brand. Valeria graduated from Bennett high School in 1940 and attended Barns Business School for two years. In 1951, she married Clarance Jack Capps who dies in a truck accident in August of 1958. They had a son. In 1959, Valeria married William ""Bud"" Pinzenscham and became a mother to his three children. She was a life time resident of the Bennett community, a homemaker and for a short time worked as a cashier at Nickerson Farms Restaurant. She also volunteered at Mercy Hospital. Valeria was a spiritual woman with a quiet loving soul. She enjoyed playing dominos and many card games. She spent her last two and a half years of her life at Cherry Creek Nursing Center where she was loved by both the staff and many of the residents for her gentle nature. Beloved mother of Shawn Capps of Bennett, CO, Robert Pinzenscham of Bennett, CO, Mike Pinzenscham of Strasburg, CO and Kathy Ewertz of Byers, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Jack Capps and William Pinzenscham, and brother, Wayne Mitchell. She will be missed. Funeral Service will be held Monday, August 15, 2011, 10:00 AM with visitation one hour prior at Bennett Presbyterian Church, 460 3rd St, Bennett, CO 80102. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Cherry Creek Nursing Center, 14699 E Hampden Ave, Aurora, CO 80014.
