Vaughn Johnson

Our amazing son Vaughn Armand Johnson left his parents’ embrace on Thursday, March 16, 2023, after a long fight with acute myeloid leukemia. He was just 14 years old.

Vaughn was born on July 11, 2008. From the moment he was born, he brought love and laughter wherever he would go. Everyone loved his sense of humor and goofiness. Anyone could be at their lowest and he would make them laugh.

Even when he was at his most visibly ill, he had the greatest sense of humor and most positive attitude. He never had a shortage of friends and family who always wanted to spend time with him. Vaughn loved traveling, video games, spending time with his friends and family, and above all else, his little brothers.

Vaughn is survived by his father, Vincent, mother, Terra, step-father, Kevin, little brothers Carter, Kingston, and Roman, and grandparents Cedric, Angela, Michael, Phill, and Wixie. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his uncle Vaughn, great grandfather John and great grandmother Barbara.

A funeral will be held on March 31st at Crossroads Community Center on 104th and Huron at 10:30 am with a reception from 12-4 at Imperium Event Center on Grant Drive and Malley Drive.
