Vera Mae Knowlton, 92, of Denver, Colorado died Tuesday, November 13, 2012. At the time she passed away she was living in Spring, Texas. She was born August 12, 1920, in Lincoln, Nebraska, the daughter of Levi and Crystal Sevier. Vera graduated from College View High School in Lincoln, Nebraska with the class of 1938. On May 29, 1941 she was married to Floyd H. Knowlton. In 1944 they moved to Denver, Colorado. For over 25 years Vera worked for the Denver Public Schools as a secretary. In her spare time she enjoyed playing bridge, organizing community activities, reading and spending time with her friends, family and children. She is survived by her two children, Cheryl and her husband Chuck and Steven Sr. and his wife Elizabeth; two grandchildren, Steven Jr. and his wife Channon and their two children Abbey and Garrett, Michael and his wife Julie and their son Jacob; her sister Carol Mohr of Lincoln, Nebraska, and two brothers Dwaine Sevier of McCook, Nebraska, and Dwight and his wife Alice of Vacaville, California. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd H. Knowlton and her parents Levi and Crystal Sevier. A visitation will be held on Monday, November 26, 2012 from 9:00 am to 1:15 pm at Horan & McConaty Parker Family Chapel, 11150 East Dartmouth Avenue, Aurora, Colorado. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, November 26, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, Colorado.
