Vern Hale told his final joke, drank his last Pepsi, and smoked his last cigarette on May 12, 2021 when his kind heart stopped. He lived his life finding humor in every situation, the more awkward the situation the better his humor, and striving to make those around him laugh. Vern was quick to help anyone who needed it.
James Vernon Hale was born January 20, 1942 in Denver, CO and was the first child of Aloysius Joseph Hale and Hazel Wallace Hale. We can only assume that being the son of a Police Officer and a Nurse lead to Vern’s unique sense of humor and outlook on life. Vern is survived by his wife Terry Smith Hale, his sister Kathleen Ammann and her husband Mike, his daughter Bridgette Bauman and her husband David, his son Brendon Hale and his wife Jennifer, his granddaughter Allison Hanley and her husband Shane and their 3 kids Tristan, Rose, and Link, his grandson Nicholas Bauman.
We will all remember Vern for his big voice, his insistence that he was young, and his big heart. We hope to follow his lead by living with curiosity, always striving to learn something new, and having hearts full of love
Please share your memories of Vern and condolences with his family by signing the Tribute Wall.
