Vern Ward

Vern Ward of Littleton, CO passed away October 4, 2013. Born and raised in Illinois, Vern was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah, his parents, brothers Don and John, and sister Eileen. He is survived by son Dan (Ellen), daughter Vernice, son Steve, sister Thelma Spall. He is the proud grandfather of Carissa Sheehan (David), Jason Ward, Kim (Bryan) Kotaniemi, and Kelly Ward. He is the adoring great grandpa of Jackson and Jacob Sheehan and Emma Kotaniemi. He is also survived by brother-in law Dan McGinley (Chome) and sisters-in-law Betty Ward, Leota Ward and Joan McGinley as well as eighteen nieces and nephews. Vern was a thoughtful, caring, committed and prayerful Christian. He will be remembered as a kind friend and neighbor. Funeral Service, Thursday, October 10, 2013, 10:30 AM, Horan and McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 E. County Line Rd. (one block west of Holly), Centennial. Interment, Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
