Vernon Alfred Nelson

Nelson, Vernon A. USAF MSgt. (Ret.) Vernon A. Nelson, 82, passed away August 26, 2014. A Douglas County Colorado native; he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Laurence, whom he greatly adored. Father of Dianne E. (Craig) Miller; and proud grandfather of Joshua Miller. Funeral Service Wed, September 3, 10:00 AM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E Dartmouth Ave, Aurora. He will be laid to rest at Ft Logan National Cemetery with full Air Force honors at 12:00, Staging Area A. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Historic Sedalia Museum and Gardens, PO Box 594, Sedalia, CO 80135.
