Veronica Blugerman, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin passed away peacefully at the age of 97 in Centennial CO.
She is survived by her daughter Janet, son-in-law, 2 grandsons, brother, niece, and several cousins.
Veronica was born the oldest of 2 children in NYC, and spent her childhood and young adulthood in the Bronx, NY, where she met and married Walter Blugerman, a Marine Corp veteran. After graduating from Hunter College, she became the mother of 2 girls, Lorraine and Janet. After the family moved to the suburbs of Wantagh, NY, Veronica became a French language substitute teacher. In later years, she worked at a law firm, a chartered airline company, and finally Bear Stearns Investment Banking in NYC.
Upon retirement, she and her daughter Lorraine relocated to Highlands Ranch CO in 2006 to be close to daughter Janet and grandchildren.
Veronica had a strong interest in holistic health, and loved reading, music, bicycle riding, walks, swimming, travel, and everything French.
She loved her book club friends, her piano lessons, reading French magazines, and working the notoriously difficult Sunday NY Times crossword puzzle. She will be remembered for her sweet disposition, intelligence, strength, perseverance, kindness, intelligence, wisdom and beauty. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Memorial Reception will be held on April 24 from 11:00-1:00 at Horan and McConaty, 5303 E. County Line Rd, Centennial, CO 80122
