Veronique Marie Amiri

June 26, 1959 — October 15, 2017

A lover of all cultures and backgrounds, an avid explorer, pine tree-hugger, intelligent scholar of all subjects, gourmet chef of all flavors, vibrant dancer to all tunes, and empathic healer to so many; Veronique Amiri, was truly an extraordinary gift to this world. At age 58, after arduously fighting a Stage IV brain tumor with grace and an unwavering smile, Veronique peacefully passed away in Golden, Colorado on a warm Sunday morning. Born and raised in the countryside of Charente, France to Marie-Josette and Joseph, Veronique was the youngest of four wonderful siblings; Yannick, Marie-Jose, and Francoise. She was married to Karim for 35 beautiful years in California and remained extremely close with his affectionate and kindhearted family. She then moved to Colorado three years ago, making even more precious memories and so many dear friends along the way. Forever recognized as a loving role model, Veronique was an amazing mother to her two daughters, Sarah Marie and Natasha Marianne. In addition, Veronique considered Morgan, Natasha’s partner of six years, an exceptional son and dear part of her life. All three always viewed Veronique as their best friend. She was a remarkable angel to us all who had a real knack for making others feel special, validated, and appreciated for who they truly are. More than that, she will forever be an inspiration for all those struggling with terminal illness; an advocate to “Keep your head towards the light and shimmy or dance your way through the struggle”. No doubt, her positive demeanor and radiating beauty, both inside and out, was contagious to all those fortunate enough to have known Veronique. A busy bee at heart, and a giant heart at that, she would give her all at work during the day then manage to buzz all over town dropping off gifts and care packages to all those she loved without any particular reason to but to see them smile. She was everyone’s personal therapist, go-to dance partner, and main cheerleader in their lifelong pursuit of happiness. She wholeheartedly gave her best self to her family and friends; infatuated with the beauty and uniqueness in humanity rather than the contrary. This woman was truly so loved from every corner of the world. She celebrated life to the very end, and is now happily dancing alongside the rest of the angels Upstairs. Rest in Peace beautiful Veronique, for you will forever be close in our hearts and deeply deeply missed. Veronique’s close family and friends will be celebrating her life on Sunday at 1pm at the Horan and McConaty and Cremation Garden memorial in Centennial, Colorado. In lieu of flowers or treats, please write your favorite memory or experience you cherished of Veronique along with any copies of pictures you may wish to include. Her family will appreciate this very much as Veronique always loved sentimental gifts from the heart.
