Victor Michael Taggart, CMSgt Ret. USAF Victor Michael Taggart, 79 of Broomfield, Colorado, died July 21, 2009. Born in Colome, South Dakota, on May 9, 1930, to Victor Charles and Mary Eva Taggart. Victor, who was also known as Mike, spent 30 years in the United States Air Force and retired in April 1978. He married Wanda LaDene Williams on April 1, 1972. Victor and Wanda settled into the mountain community of Brownsville, California in 1978. They traveled extensively until Wanda's passing in March of 2002. Victor moved to Denver in 2005 and would continue to travel to the desert of Arizona in the winter and to his home state of South Dakota and to Nebraska, at his daughter's ranch in the summer. Survivors include three sons Victor M. Taggart (Tamira) of Westminster, CO, James Williams (Michelle) of Irving, TX, Robert Williams of Dallas, TX. Five daughters Susanna Messenger of Delslow, W.V.. Rebecca L. Martin of San Antonio, TX, Nona Perkins (Jerry) of Elizabeth, CO, Catherine Morris (Gary) of Woodlake, NE, and Mary Smith (Rod) of Broomfield, CO; 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Two Brothers John Taggart (Lillian) of Thornton, CO, Frank Taggart of Mesa AZ, and his sister Rosalind Burns of Shreveport LA. Victor was preceded in death by his beautiful wife Wanda, brothers Charles Taggart and Patrick Taggart, sisters Dorothy Hibbs and Mary Hammond. Memorial Service, Saturday, August 1st at 1:00 pm in the Family Chapel at Horan & McConaty, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton, Colorado. Victor Taggart will be laid to rest in Brownsville, California, at the Brownsville Cemetery on August 8th, time of the service as yet is open.
