Vincent M. Gagliardi, Sr.

Vince, 91, Denver, Colorado, passed away while in residence at Atria Inn at Lakewood. He is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn, of 57 years; mother, Mary Gagliardi; father, Frank Gagliardi; and younger brother, Frank Gagliardi. He is survived by sons, Vince, Anthony (Penny), and Michael (Carlene); grandchildren, Danny Gagliardi, Gina Johnson, Michael J. Gagliardi, Alex Gagliardi, Morgan Hurshman, Mac Cook, Marlinda Cook-Gagliardi; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Mia, Nayla, Beau, Olivia, and Thyme; sister-in-law, Charlene Gagliardi, Dallas, TX; sister-in-law, Virginia (Wayne) Arner; as well as, numerous nieces and nephews. Vince graduated from North High School in Denver. He then joined the United States Army Air Corps and earned an honorable discharge. Vince went to work for the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad where he became Manager of Computer Operations retiring after 38 years. He and Evelyn enjoyed retirement by traveling, being together and with family. A lifelong member of Notre Dame Parish, he was active until his later years in the men's club, golf club, Morra Society, and Holy Name Society. Viewing will be Tuesday, August 9, 2016, 3:30-6 PM, at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3020 Federal Boulevard, in Denver, Colorado 80211. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, August 10, 2016, 10 AM, at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 2190 South Sheridan Boulevard, in Denver, Colorado. Entombment follows at Fairmount Cemetery, 430 South Quebec Street, in Denver, Colorado.
