Vincent N. Schmitz, 83, of Denver, passed away November 2, 2010, from injuries suffered from a fall. Vince was born April 25, 1927 in Denver, CO. He married Marilyn Peterka on October 29, 1955. She preceded him in death last October. In 1963, Vince co-founded Aurora National Bank, which later became Citywide Banks. He has served on boards of numerous community organizations. One of his many passions was Catholic education. Vince was an avid golfer and reader; he loved politics, the business he founded, and was fortunate to work until the last days of his life. He may be known for his financial success, but his legacy is better remembered for his faith, family, and charity. He is survived by six children, Martin (Megan), Julie (Brian) Bunsness, Patty (Neil) Job, Rick (Susan), Jeff (Marcie), Annie (Dean) McBournie; 19 grand-children. A rosary will be said 3:00 PM Sunday at Regis University Chapel, 3333 Regis Blvd. (Entrance #4 off Lowell Blvd). Funeral Mass, 11:30 AM, Monday, St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 8035 S.
