Viola Rosalee Cook, 81, passed away March 2, 2013 in Littleton, Colorado. She was born June 9, 1931 in Denver, Colorado to Leroy Kenneth and Martha Helen Isabel Webster Cook. Viola was a devoted daughter to her parents and built her life around her family, community and dearest friend, Ann Campbell. Ann and Vi met through their careers with the Denver Public Schools, and quickly became kindred-spirit sisters. Together, they dedicated their lives to the students of South High School, raising shelties, traveling and visiting many dear friends and family throughout the country. They also shared a deep love of music, and particularly enjoyed singing in their church choirs. Vi, as her close friends and family called her, was an avid photographer and technology hobbyist. She was a tower of strength, quietly observant and allowed others to shine in their own unique ways. Her great faith was the foundation of her rock solid, grounded perseverance and service to others. One of her students said she was a ""Guardian Angel."" She is survived by cousins, Mary E. Hansen and Dorothy Isabella Webster; other loving extended family members and friends; and last, but not least, her loving companion and dearest little friend, Carob. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2013, 10:00 AM, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2298 South Logan Street, Denver, CO 80210. Graveside Service will follow at 12:00 noon at Crown Hill Cemetery, 7777 West 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
