Viola Ann Jessen

Vi "Sissy" Jessen, born on Feb. 28, 1937 in Cumberland, MD, passed away on July 2, 2007 of a stroke. She went to school in Old Town, MD and graduated in Cumberland with a nursing degree. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities including a two-year mission in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico with her husband. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Eldon Jessen; children Lisa Theis, Lori Nickerson, Brett, Bart, Sean, and Eddy Mueller; step-children Kim Makekau, Leina'ala Haley, Kevin, Andrew, Greg, and David Jessen, and Kristina Langston. She is also survived by her sister Effie Slider and brothers Raymond and George McCabe as well as 13 grandchildren and 16 step-grandchildren. Visitation is Friday, July 6th from 6-8 p.m. at Horan & McConaty at 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd. Lakewood, CO. Funeral Service is Saturday, July 7th at 10 a.m. at the LDS chapel at 6465 W.
