Violet Bernice Goetzinger

GOETZINGER, VIOLET, 96, of Denver, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Oct 3, 2011. Born in Rocky Ford, CO, Nov 21, 1914, the youngest of 5. She touched many lives with her love for people, serving in the greeting ministry of her church until age 90. Her passion for league bowling filled over 40 years of her life, ending her favorite sport at age 88. She spent countless hours after her retirement from Childrens' Hospital making ceramics and crocheting afghans, giving them away as quickly as completed. Her love for travel, esp. cruises, was the true highlight of her life. Violet was blessed with a long, strong, energetic life. She will be missed by all who loved her, many of whom called her mom. Survived by daughter, Judy and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, Elmer, son, Alan, sister, Vivienne, brothers, George, Orial, Clarence. At her request, no service was planned.
