Virgil Eugene Larsen was born to Art and Martha Larsen on November 26, 1928 in Bradegate, Iowa. He had three younger brothers, Duane, Jim and John (twins). Virgil lived and grew up on a farm that his father sharecropped. He attended a school in Rutland, Iowa. Virgil's dad lovingly drove him to school and picked him up every day.
After graduating Virgil left home to join the United States Air Force. He met Velma at a dance held at Lowery Air Force Base. He was stationed in Japan for a time. After he returned to the US - he married Velma May. They had two children Keith and Karen. He worked for and retired from AT&T. Loved working for that company.
Virgil loved doing things around the house and planting flowers, working on our cars. The thing he loved doing the most was mowing the lawn. Virgil also loved going for walks.
Virgil and Velma loved going for drives up in the mountains. Another BIG love was square dancing. Their square dance club was Rollin' Wheels. One more thing he loved doing is going to Bronco games with his daughter - Karen.
Virgil is survived by his son Keith and daughter Karen and daughter-in-law Kaye and two brothers Duane and John.
