VIRGINIA MEDINA CARR. 1933 - 2023
On August 23, 2023, Virginia Carr of Littleton, CO passed away peacefully with her daughter Michelle at her side.
Virginia came into this world as our country was coping with the prelude to World War II. She was 7 or 8 years old when Pearl Harbor was attacked. Born in Colorado, she lived in that State her entire life, and she reached her end-of-life in her Colorado. Her mother was of Italian ancestry and her father was a proud immigrant who worked the fields in the Colorado Arkansas Valley. Virginia's youth was a rough time not only for her, but for all citizens of this beautiful USA- her education was minimal and whatever funds she could earn went into the family coffers. Is this remark noted to draw sentiment? Not so, because the whole country was suffering from the effects of a horrible war- the remark is intended to draw a distinction of "what was" and what Virginia made of her life. As a child her world evolved into the teens and then to womanhood.
Virginia married an entrepreneur which was a turning point in her life. His name was Roger Carr and he taught her good things that were foreign to a country girl- she learned rapidly about some of the good things of the American way of life. Together Virginia and Roger ran a family business, Spa Equipment Co. which was beginning to flourish when Roger reached his End of Life- and Virginia was left alone. Again, Virginia took the task at hand and made the business a profitable venture - true to her nature she gave much due credit for her success to daughter Michelle and her brother, Thomas.
Virginia was a loving, caring and compassionate person. Indeed- We mourn a heartfelt loss. But even through her passing, Virginia reveals her greatest quality- her deep and abiding faith in God. All that she was to those she loved was formed by that faith. It was faith that made her who she was, and in this world- we are all better because she lived and touched each one of our lives. We will move on knowing that the energy of Virginia is still here- precious memories that will never die.
Virginia is survived by her two children Russell Carr and Michelle Johnson; brothers Tom Medina and Joe Medina; two grandchildren Reece Riccardi and Kenzie Riccardi.
