Virginia L. Clanahan

Virginia Blomgren Clanahan, 92, passed away peacefully at home on April 22, 2009. Born in Boise, Idaho, shegraduated from Denver East High School, the University of Colorado at Boulder, and took graduate classes at the University of Denver. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority, the Colorado Arlberg Club, and the Denver Country Club. Preceded in death by her loving husband Barkley Lax Clanahan, she is survived by her daughter Diane Clanahan Conn(Michael) of Highlands Ranch, son Denis Barkley Clanahan (Sandy) of Denver, her sister Elaine Blomgren Bennion, grandchildren, Justin Conn (Shanna), Jennifer Clanahan (Charles Kuhn), Jason Conn, Ashley Clanahan Walker (Tony), Catherine Clanahan Charles (Brendan), and four great-grandchildren. She was loved by many and will be greatlymissed. Services will be private for family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Denver Botanic Gardens, 1005 York St., Denver 80206, or to the Denver Zoo, 2300 Steele St., Denver 80205.
