Virginia Marie Gruben

Virginia Marie (Spaeth) Gruben, 84, passed away March 18, 2007, in Lakewood, Colorado. She was born December 5, 1922, in Carlyle, a daughter of Lillian (Fietsam) and Oscar Spaeth. She married Henry C. Gruben, on January 20, 1945. He preceded her in death in 1984. She was a member of St. Dennis Catholic Church in Lockport, Illinois, for many years and was active in the VFW Auxiliary. Virginia lived in Lockport for 53 years. Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rosemary E. and Fred J. Ravenscroft, of Lakewood, Colorado, and longtime friend, Anthony Blaszik, of Lockport. Her brother, Oscar Spaeth, Jr. also preceded her in death. Virginia's burial will be at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, March 23, 2007, at St. Mary's Cemetery in Carlyle.
